Few testimonies have stirred as many hearts, or as many debates, as this one. Queen Okeoma, a 55-year-old prophetess from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, says the Lord has taken her out of her body nine times: once to heaven, and eight times to hell. In this episode of God’s Truth Podcast, she walks through the encounter that made her known around the world, and the warning she believes every listener needs to hear.
Born with sight
Queen says she was born with the gift of spiritual sight, and has had thousands of supernatural encounters since childhood. For years she lived in sin without understanding her calling, and she believes that left a door open to constant demonic attack. Everything changed in March 2007, when she says the Lord separated her soul and spirit from her body and took her to “the room of the living dead” and the gates of hell. Anyone who has an encounter like that and doesn’t change, she says, has missed the point entirely.
Dakar, 2016: standing in hell beside Jesus
In September 2016, Queen was living in Dakar, Senegal, with her husband. Alone at home one evening, she saw a professing Christian on Facebook hugging a wax figure of rapper Biggie Smalls, captioned “this should have been my husband.” Queen was troubled, and said so out loud to the Lord.
Within ten minutes, she says, she was standing in hell with Jesus at her side.
She describes hell as a vast, ever-growing cave with sections and chambers, filled with fire and demons of every size. There is no oxygen, so every soul is in a constant fight to breathe. And the desires a person had on earth remain: hunger, thirst and exhaustion, with no relief, forever.
About 15 feet away, in a carved-out cell with thick black bars, she saw Biggie Smalls in a hospital gown, burning from the inside out. Two towering demons, darker than the darkness itself, stood on either side of him. When Queen asked why he was there, she says Jesus gave three reasons: he had told the Lord he didn’t need Him, he had gone to a fetish priest for power and fame, and he believed he was a king.
What she saw, and what was taken away
Queen says the Lord removed her senses of hearing, smell, touch and fear during her visits to hell, so she could bear what she was shown. It was like watching a silent film, she explains. The terror only came when she returned to her body.
She also describes Jesus Himself: tall, broad-chested, with a short beard and striking blue-green eyes. She points viewers to the paintings of Akiane Kramarik, who painted Jesus as a young girl after her own heavenly encounter, while adding that no painting does Him justice.
A life turned upside down
Queen says her encounters left her “scared straight.” She now lives what she calls a consecrated life, and speaks bluntly on holiness, false teaching and the end times. Some of her convictions will challenge viewers, and she makes no apology for that. Her central message is simple: it doesn’t matter whether you believe her, but it matters whether you believe the Word of God.
