Women and children praying at a night worship gathering in Punjab, Pakistan

Watching from a distance is not enough.

When we look at the families struggling in Raiwind and across the Punjab, it is easy to feel helpless from thousands of kilometres away. But watching from a distance is simply not an option for us.

For 14 days, a team of three is travelling to Pakistan. Not just to send supplies, but to look people in the eye, walk their streets, and show them the real, tangible love of Christ face to face.

Our First Goal

Before anything else, these are the essentials we are determined to bring with us. This is our minimum, and every gift brings it closer:

And we are praying big. Once this goal is met, every further gift takes us towards our best-case dream: household kits of food, Bibles and mosquito nets, laptops for local education, and fabric for women’s sewing training.

Help Us Reach Our First Goal

Behind Every Brick Is a Story

Raiwind sits just outside Lahore in Pakistan’s Punjab province. Many of the families we will be serving live and work on the brick kilns: whole households, children included, moulding and stacking bricks in the heat for very little pay.

“Instead of carrying a school bag, this child is carrying the burden of labour alongside brick-kiln families. His little hands should be holding books, learning, dreaming, and building a future, not carrying the weight of poverty. Behind every brick is a story. Behind every child is a dream.”
Kenneth Hanif, community leader in Raiwind

This is not an isolated story. A 2024 report by the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group for Pakistani Minorities estimates that more than a million people work in Pakistan’s roughly 20,000 brick kilns, and that religious minorities make up around half of the brick-kiln workforce in Punjab and Sindh, even though they are about 5% of the population. Families are tied to the kilns by advance loans they can rarely repay, and a family making a thousand bricks may be paid as little as PKR 500, less than two US dollars. (Read the report)

These are the families we are going to. Not statistics. Mothers, fathers, grandparents and children with names, faces and dreams.

What $42 Puts Inside a Home

We have built the mission around one simple, powerful gift. Every $42 (about R700) provides a complete household kit:

More Than Relief

Beyond our first goal, this is what we are believing God for. We are not only bringing a parcel and leaving. Your partnership helps us bring tools that keep giving long after we fly home:

  • A community water pump for clean, accessible water.
  • Laptops for local education and skills, so young people can learn and grow.
  • Fabric for women’s sewing training. Kenneth’s dream is a sewing centre where local women can learn a trade and earn a living, and this is the first step.
  • Urdu Bibles and food packs delivered face to face, household by household.

See the Hunger for God

This is a night of worship in Punjab. Watch what happens when a community that has so little lifts its voice to the One who gives everything.

The hunger for God here is real. People are ready. What they need are believers willing to show up.

Why We Are Going in Person

We could send money and stay home. But love that never shows up is hard to believe. We want to sit in their homes, pray with their families, open the Bible with their children, and tell them to their faces that they are seen, valued and loved by God.

“Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)

When you give, you are not just funding a trip. You are coming with us, into every home we enter and every hand we hold.

Where Your Gift Goes

We want you to give with confidence. Every gift to the Punjab Mission is used for this mission only:

  • Urdu Bibles
  • A community water pump and a cooked meal for the village
  • A good computer and ring light so a local church can take the gospel online
  • Household kits: family food packs and mosquito nets
  • Laptops for local education and skills
  • Fabric for women’s sewing training
  • Getting our team of three there and back safely: flights, travel vaccinations, local transport, accommodation and meals

We will report back with photos, videos and stories from the trip, so you can see exactly what your gift made possible.
