Into the Cells

Stand with Sandielyn in the Philippines

Prison cells in Manila. Children on the streets. New believers in Mindanao. Sandielyn Taylor goes where most of us never will. She carries the Gospel, food and water. I’m asking you to help send her with more.

Who Sandielyn is

God my Redeemer

Sandielyn leads El Go’El Ministry. El Go’El means “God my Redeemer.” She was raised in the Philippines, served three years as a missionary in South Korea, and has been taking the Gospel back home for years.

She has sat with me on God’s Truth Podcast. Once to share her own encounters with the Lord. Once beside her daughter, who told us what she saw of heaven. The ministry’s line says it simply: Reaching the lost. Restoring hope. Making disciples.

Prison ministry

No bed. No visitors. No water.

In many Philippine jails, dozens of people share one small room. They sleep on the floor. Some sleep sitting up, depending on how many are inside.

If no family visits, there may be no food and no clean water. Many of them went in as teenagers.

Sandielyn brings food. She brings water. She brings the Gospel, and tells them there is a God who forgives.

“When you sleep at night, you will see all their faces and you will feel heartbroken.”Sandielyn Taylor

The children nobody tucks in

Manila has many children living on its streets. Sandielyn’s team feeds them and shares the Gospel with them.

Through her father’s church in Manila, the doors stay open. Homeless families come for provision. Children who have been abused are cared for, including children exploited through sexual trafficking.

I fight trafficking here in South Africa. This part of Sandielyn’s work hits home for me.

The unreached

Rice at the foot of a volcano

Sandielyn also goes to islands and regions that have never heard the Gospel. On a recent three-month mission she worked near one of the country’s volcanoes. Families there needed rice, the staple of every Filipino table. The team gave rice and shared Jesus with parents and children.

What’s next

Mindanao

The next mission goes south, to Mindanao. This is new ground for Sandielyn.

A local pastor who came to Christ from a Muslim background has invited her. Together they will bring testimony and the Gospel to new believers from the same background, many of them young people who have been abused. They will disciple them and plant house churches.

Missions like this keep Sandielyn in the field for three to ten months. The longer she stays, the more support she needs.

“The harvest is here. Even if you’re not there, your giving makes you part of the harvest.”Sandielyn Taylor

Why I stand with her

A Great Commission family

Sandielyn takes her children on mission so they learn what she lives by. In her words: “We’re not living for ourselves alone. We have a Great Commission to fulfill.”

I’ve heard her heart on camera and off it. She thinks about the prisoners at night. She goes back for them. That’s who I’m asking you to stand with.

Heaven’s River of Life at Five, and “You Need to Forgive Me”

At five years old, in one of Manila’s roughest neighbourhoods, she heard music from heaven. Decades later Jesus told her, “My daughter, you need to forgive Me.” Read her full testimony.
